Fayetteville – Cumberland Parks and Recreation started a lacrosse program in 2012 with over 85 kids.  Our program grew to 180 kids.   By the spring of 2016, Terry Sanford High School and Jack Britt high school established Fayetteville's first public school lacrosse teams.  Terry Sanford High School fielded its first varsity girls lacrosse team and Jack Britt fielded not only a varsity girls lacrosse team but a full JV boys and a full varsity boys team.  Lacrosse is growing in Fayettevil
